About Piedmont

Piedmont Consulting Limited is an independent consultancy registered in Ireland and based in Wexford. It was founded in 2026 to bring two decades of cloud architecture and transformation experience to clients directly, without the overheads, incentives, and partner relationships that come with a larger firm.

We are deliberately small. Every engagement is led by the person doing the work.

I have spent twenty years in infrastructure and cloud, across financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, biotech, insurance, utilities and the public sector.

The path ran from virtualisation and storage, through a decade of Azure-heavy consultancy in the UK, into GCP specialisation from 2021. That breadth matters more than any single platform credential: it is the reason I have no stake in which provider you choose, and the reason I can tell when a problem being described as technical is not one.

Because that is the pattern I keep meeting. The architecture is usually defensible. The constraint sits upstream — in how work is selected, readied, and handed between teams. Organisations migrate to a new platform and carry the old operating model across intact, then wonder why delivery didn't get faster.

My work is on those decisions. Lean, DevOps and value stream thinking are the lens I use for it, not a methodology I arrive with.

I hold GCP and Azure certifications and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and studied Information Technology at Georgia Southern University. I am currently engaged with Deloitte delivering cloud architecture for Irish Revenue.

Bridget Schiller — Director, Business Support Services

Bridget leads Piedmont's business support practice, providing virtual assistant and data entry services to small businesses, consulting practices, and founders who need reliable administrative capacity without hiring for it.

The work covers remote administrative support, data organisation, calendar and inbox management, document preparation, and structured data entry across CRMs and business systems. Available for both project-based and ongoing arrangements.

How we work

Independence. Piedmont holds no hyperscaler partnerships and takes no resale margin. There is no commercial reason for us to recommend one provider, product, or direction over another.

Seniority. The person who scopes the work is the person who does it.

Evidence over assertion. Recommendations are made against what can be demonstrated, and we will tell you when the honest answer is that a change isn't worth making.
